The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with tears. The paper shows sign of discolouration. Minor foxing, handling marks and abrasions occasionally on the surface. One minor area of stain at the lower left corner. A pinpoint hole close to lower right corner. A few negligible hairline creases are visible, mostly towards the edges and the corners. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Areas of paper consolidation along the edges. Cappellin's seal and reference number illegible. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
