The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with faint discoloration. Minor tears to the upper and lower right edges. Faint foxing and handling marks occasionally on the surface. Few negligible hairline creases are visible, with one at the lower left edge. One small area of water stain at the lower left corner. A minor tear is present along the lower centre edge. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Cappellin's seal and reference number 363. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
