ILLUMINATED INITIAL ‘A’ on a leaf from a very large noted Missal [northern Netherlands, probably Utrecht, second quarter 15th century]

An imposing leaf from a Dutch noted Missal, with borders and decoration typical of northern Netherlandish illumination of the period. The initial ‘A’ introduces the introit ‘Ad te levavi’ for the first Sunday in Advent.
