From the Alpine Oligocene (circa 23 million years ago), a long articulated ray-finned specimen of Anguilla multiradiata with an excellent state of preservation, particularly to the skull and the fine teeth, preserved and placed as though hunting another fossil marine specimen, the matrix polished to highlight the depth of fine detail with both specimens, set in matrix and supported on custom base.
