Details
An aesthetic Seymchan slice, boasting metal-rich areas displaying prominent Widmanstätten pattern to both sides. The olivine-rich aggregates were derived from a fragmented olivine layer at the bottom of the mantle that was invaded by a metallic liquid during mixing at the core-mantle boundary. Modern cutting, supported on custom stand.
1714 x 13in. (44 x 33 x 0.2cm.)
