Lot Essay
The first recorded pieces of this meteorite type were discovered in 2000 on the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, but it wasn't until 2012 that a larger group was discovered and the type officially recognised. The total mass of the meteorite is thought to have been approximately 100 kilograms, with the single largest fragment upwards of 60 kilograms. The present example is a smaller, aesthetic piece with the weathering expected of Agoudal meteoritic composition.
