From the Eocene (circa 50 million years ago), a 38 1/2-inch long specimen of Heliobatis radians in an excellent state of preservation, particularly to the highly articulated tail and the 18 1/2-inch pectoral fins, two barbs to the tail survive in fine detail, prepped on limestone matrix, affixed to mounting board and framed.
