This fossil fern is mounted on a custom black stand, held with x4 arms. The arms of the stand have caused very minor scratching to the matrix's surface, but there has been no damage to the fossil details and it does not detract from the overall presentation. The fossil fern's details are clear, with one complete body and a faded fossil detail top left and partial fern lower left. The top and sides of the fossil have minor markings - testament to age. On the back of the fossil there are minor markings and a square 'shadow', possibly where a sticker or label may have once been stuck. But this is not visible from the from face when displayed and does not detract from its overall appearance - if anything it adds to its lineage and journey throughout the millennia. Overall the fossil is in good condition and presents well.
