    Lot Essay

    This is a rare example of a gogotte with a very different aesthetic depending on the angle of view. Sitting on a table it is perhaps evocative of the sculptures of Brancusi or Modigliani, were it to be fitted upright in a stand it is reminiscent of the marble Anatolian female idols of the Chacolilithic.
