From the Jurassic (201-145 million years ago), the 16-inch specimen of Speetoniceras sp. split and polished to reveal internal chambers, some naturally filled with a yellow calcite, the reverse of each sealed to reveal the shell ridges, each supported on a stand.
Each: 16 x 1412 x 2in. (40.5 x 37 x 5cm.)
