The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some minor scuffs and wear to the engraving consistent with age and use, the cover very slightly loose though secure, with a small bruise to the front of the cover, as noted the engraving to the body later, likely added at the same time as the second inscription dated 1760, overall good condition.
