The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With wax residue throughout and needing a good cleaning, later gilt and engraving removed from cartouches, baskets and dishes, fully marked on frame and canopy, dishes and baskets with maker's mark and lion passant, one nozzle with slightly flatter decoration and gilding worn at high spots, two sconces with slightly lighter gilding, one hanging basket with a small split to piercing, hooks later, all four with small areas of gilding loss to exteriors, dishes with small losses of gilding to undersides, branches for dishes dot numbered, #'s 1 and 3 with lion passant and maker's mark, #4 with lion passant only, #2 with replaced post and thus unmarked, some small losses to gilding to branches, lower basket with later flat-chased cartouche to interior, ends a little pushed down but not split, screw-off vertical canopy supports dot-numbered, heavy gauge, all missing a few leaves and #4 missing a 2 in. section of twisting branches, branches for baskets numbered, #4 with 1/2 of securing post broken off and thus doesn't screw in at present, all missing a few leaves and grape bunches, base with later cartouches, putti, and nymphs with baskets, splits at holes for branches #3,4, small split to one foot, end of one foot more bent up that others, finial with small split to back of goat's head, grapevine lacking some leaves, canopy with two later securing holes corresponding with finial, lacking two pendant grapes, lacking a securing post and another stuck in the top of a vertical support, lacking securing nut under one putti.
