The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
As noted later alterations by Farrell, later gilding is consistent and a deep gold color, some slight flaking to gilding at edge of rim where meets cover, decoration crisp throughout, finial slightly brighter shade of gilding, cover doesn't sit perfectly flush due to shallow bruise to flange, marks clear, good condition, a rare example of Jamaican silver.
