The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Presenting well overall with minor scratches to the gilding throughout, commensurate with age and handling; the cover interior with an old hairline crack, 3¹⁄₄ in. long, forming a half-circle around the knop; the stem with an old hairline crack (approx. 5 in. long) reaching from the underside of the bowl down to the lower edge of the central knop; the stepped foot with an old hairline crack (approx. 1¹⁄₂ in.) to its lowest tier, passing through the potter's mark at the underside.
