Lot Essay

Originally from Moldova, Mirabelle Dors (1913-1991) was a French sculptor and painter active in the surrealist Paris group in the 1950s. She was welcomed to Paris in 1952 by André Breton.

Ghérasim Luca (1913-1994) was a Romania-born French-speaking Surrealist artist, theorist, and poet who collaborated in Paris with many artists, including Jean Arp and Max Ernst and produced numerous collages, drawings, objects, and text-installations.
