Engraved titles for Old and New Testaments; engraved frontispieces for Old and New Testaments by Johann Georg Seiller and Johann Jacob Amman; one double-page plate and one double-page map of the Holy Land; and 60 numbered plates (some spotting). Contemporary red morocco over beveled wooden boards, all edges gilt, sculptural brass bosses and clasps depicting biblical figures (old reback, boards and spine worn; lacking one clasp, the other nearly detached). Provenance:Wynfield (bookplate with motto “Aut vincere aut mori”).
