A textile tradesman’s sample book. This portable wallet-style sample book features beautifully dyed fabrics in different colors and fibers, alongside manuscript notes on pricing and other accounting practices. The pages, arranged concertina-style, fold out from each side of the wallet, displaying the samples on one side and with manuscript notes on the reverse.

Agenda quarto wallet (221 x 105m). 2 concertina-style folding panels consisting of 10 and 9 card “sheets” each, with numerous samples of woven wools and silks dyed in various colors on the inner panels, and manuscript notes on accounts and pricing on the outer panels. All within a red morocco gilt wallet with flap closure and “Mr D. Le Marechal Fils Cie. Negts. A Rugles” gilt-stamped on the flap.
