Lot Essay
Fuller's title page for this double sided circular slide rule boasts that "This work occupied a prominent place at the Crystal Palace" [the Great Exhibition of 1851], and that "Business questions, of every possible variety, are instantly performed: a safe and speedy check to avoid vexatious errors, affording at the the same time a greater amount of practical business knowledge, than can be obtained for ten times the cost of the work." The price for the instrument was $6.00 sold only by subscription.

In good condition with a signs or wear and use consistent with age. Rear cover rubbed, corners bumped, spine worn. Light foxing to folding plate and pamphlet. Pressed mark to pamphlet from instrument. The circular slide rule in very good order with bumped edges, minor scratches, maintaining strong colour of varnish.
