In German, quarter page, 278 x 215mm. Envelope. Provenance: Stargardt, 4 July 2000, lot 521 (part of lot).

A self-mocking note about coming to lunch, in spite of being on a diet: 'So I shall come to yours at midday on Friday for a so-called meal, which however in my case has turned into a sort of symbolic affair. I am very much looking forward to this so long awaited occasion and will bring joyful good humour with me'.
