Lot Essay

This Boycott plate was a spin off from a Jonathan Agnew prank which convinced GB that his celebrated 100th century, scored in front of his home crowd at Headingley on 11 August 1977, was actually his 99th. His real 100th century, "Aggers" argued, was scored in dusty Faisalabad, on 4 December, 1977.
