Lot Essay

The first occurrence of a batsman remaining 99 not out in Test Match cricket took place during the first Test of England’s tour of Australia in 1979. Nobody had expected the last three wickets to fall for just 4 runs. GB carried this bat and finished the innings on the unluckiest of scores.
