GB used this bat in a man-of-the-match performance at Old Trafford in the first Test against the West Indies in 1969. He scored 128 and 1* in an England victory. In the first innings, GB shared notable partnerships with Tom Graveney playing in his final Test Match and Basil d’Oliveira, fending off long spells from Sir Garfield Sobers.
