Contemporary blue morocco, covers and spine ruled in gilt, gilt edges. Provenance: H.R.H. The Princess Margaret (her monogram 'M' in gilt on upper cover). [Sold with:] LEIGHTON, Rachel. Rise and progress : the story of the Welsh Girls' School and of the Honourable and Loyal Society of Antient Britons. London: Governors of the Welsh Girls' School, [1950]. Octavo (183 x 120mm). Frontispiece. Slightly later blue crushed morocco by the National Library of Wales bindery, gilt arms of the Welsh School on front cover, top edge gilt (extremties faintly rubbed). Provenance: H.R.H. The Princess Margaret (presentation label in Welsh and English commenorating the Princess' visit to the school on 21 November 1957). [And:] Queen Mary. A picture pageant of her wonderful years. London: Daily Express, [c.1950]. Quarto (305 x 260mm). Colour portrait frontispiece, numerous illustrations, many full-page and a few in colour. Blue morocco, upper cover gilt-tooled with royal arms, top edge gilt (upper joint cracking, extremities rubbed). Provenance: H.R.H. The Princess Margaret (binding). [And:] PARKER, Eric. Playing Fields. London: Philip Allan & Co., 1922. Octavo (209 x 130mm). Illustrations by J.D.M. Harvey (title and half-title faintly soiled). Later blue crushed morocco by Anthony Gardner with binder's calligraphic note facing half-title dated April 1960, upper cover with border in gilt and blind enclosing a central roundel composed on light-blue and cream morocco onlays with a gilt-tooled floral motif, gilt edges, marbled endpapers.
