Dominick Dunne (1925-2009) was a celebrated American investigative journalist and producer. Best remembered for his work not only for Vanity Fair, he also produced the pioneering gay film The Boys in the Band, 1970 and the drug film The Panic in Needle Park, 1971. His life was immortalised in the film Dominick Dunne: After the Party, which was released in 2008.
