The Snowdon Aviary at London Zoo was designed between 1960-1 and built between 1962-5. Designed by Lord Snowdon, alongside Cedric Price, it was the commission of Lord Snowdon's great friend Sir Hugh Casson in a plan to completely modernise and expand the zoo, after the austerity years following the Second World War. Britain's first walk-through aviary, and the first constructed with architecture in mind, it was listed in 2007, much to Lord Snowdon's pride.

Unexamined out of frame. Folded historically with associated losses, creases, folds and folding scars throughout. Apparently stuck down to board and would benefit from reframing and/or mounting. Presents well.
