Lot Essay

Womersley Hall is a 17th century house near Pontefract in West Yorkshire formerly owned by Michael Parsons, the 6th Earl of Rosse (1906-1979), second husband of Lord Snowdon's mother, Anne Messel (1902-1992). Lord Snowdon spent part of his childhood here during the Second World War.
