The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Around two-thirds of the mouth rim has been lightly ground.
- The jar has numerous hairlines and star cracks to the body and mouth rim that have been visibly restored and which have associated small losses, the longest crack runs around the circumference of the base.
- There is a network of fine crackles to much of the body that have partially discoloured in places.
- There is an area of restoration to the mouth rim measuring max. approx. 0.5 cm. x 0.5 cm.
- The enamels are bright and vibrant.
