We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture. The imitation-bamboo teapot: - There are a few sections which have been restuck and repaired, including the handle and the area around the spout, which is also a pewter replacement. - There is a chip to the end of the bamboo finial, which has also been reinforced with a metal pin. - There are small chips to the enamels consistent with age. - The teapot is 9⅜ in. (24 cm.) wide, handle to spout The gilt-decorated teapot and cover: - There are a few small flake chips to the decoration. - The finial is possibly restuck. - The teapot is 8¼ in. (21 cm.) wide, handle to spout. The slip-decorated teapot: - The spout has been replaced with pewter. - There is a very fine crack to the the lower join of the handle. - There are some tiny nicks to the foot consistent with age. - The cover has been broken into several pieces and repaired with rivets. - The teapot is 7⅝ in. (19.5 cm.) wide, handle to spout The inscribed teapot: - The handle has been subtly restuck. - There are some very fine firing cracks to the cover. - There are some tiny nicks consistent with age. - The teapot is 5¼ in. (13.2 cm.) wide, handle to spout
