Details
The first teapot is modelled with an imitation-bamboo handle and a pewter spout, and two moulded bands to the body also imitating bamboo and highlighted in green-enamel, the base is stamped with a four-character mark reading 'Shao Weixin zhi' (Made by Shao Weixin). The domed cover is surmounted by a similarly-decorated handle. The second teapot is decorated in red and gilt lacquer with a landscape scene to the body and flower sprays to the handle and spout, all reserved on a brown ground. The base is inscribed and signed Yu Xian. The third teapot is decorated in pale brown slip with a fisherman below pine to one side and a bamboo spray to the other. The teapot is mounted with a pewter spout and the cover and handle are connected by a metal chain. The base is stamped 'Shao Zhenglai zhi' (made by Shao Zhenglai). The last teapot is crafted from grey clay with an iridescent surface and stands on three low feet, it is decorated with bamboo and rocks to one side, with the seal mark 'yin' and inscribed to the other side and dated jichou year and signed Li Heng.
