Comprising a four-case inro decorated in gold and coloured takamaki-e and aogai kirikane on a grey lacquer ground with sea urchins and seashells; a four-case inro decorated in gold and red hiramaki-e and inlays of mother-of-pearl and lead on a black lacquer ground with branches of flowering plum, signed Shinkokusai; a four-case inro decorated in gold and black takamaki-e and aogai kirikane on a black lacquer ground with two dogs and mon; a three-case inro decorated in gold hiramaki-e, lead and mother-of-pearl inlays on a gold lacquer ground with hagi (bush clover) and narcissus; a three-case inro decorated in gold takamaki-e, lead and mother-of-pearl inlays with Jurojin, the reverse with a deer and a crane; and a four-case inro decorated in gold and red hiramaki-e and togidashi and inlaid with mother-of-pearl on a brown lacquer ground with temple curtains
