The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a small surface abrasion or printing defect to the right of Adam's right shoulder.
- a diagonal printer's crease in the sky.
- a few pinpoint foxmarks in places.
- some minor surface dirt and ingrained dust.
- very pale mount and light-staining, pale time staining at the sheet edges.
- a tiny thin spot in the right margin.
- inscribed 2.. in the upper right corner in pencil.
