The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache and pencil on blue wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The left edge with two punch-holes, consistent with the work stemming from the artist's sketchbook. The sheet colour has faded and there is some mild light staining. Minor handling marks towards the edges in places. The reverse with old Japan paper hinge remnants at the upper corners. The pencil is strong. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.
