The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with wide margins, probably the full sheet (the original dimensions are not known).
- some very pale and unobtrusive time staining along the outer margins, some pale tape staining showing through recto at the lower right sheet edge.
- a pale foxmark at upper right.
- a skilfully repaired diagonal tear (circa 35 mm.) towards the upper right sheet corner.
- a small repaired paper loss with associated short tear at the upper sheet edge near the right corner.
- a short repaired tear (circa 10 mm.) at the upper sheet edge to the right, another at the lower sheet edge to the right.
- a tiny rust spot in the lower left sheet corner.
- inscribed in pencil recto at the lower sheet edge at right L.B. 1920 Nr 955.
- inscribed in pencil verso with the numbers B. 3271 and 226/486.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
