The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- the sheet very slightly toned.
- pale time staining at the extreme sheet edges.
- some soft cockling at the upper and lower sheet edges.
- a tiny pressure mark in the left margin.
- tiny remains of old hinges at the left and right sheet edges at centre verso, with minor associated paper discolourations.
- inscribed $ 2,400, 378 (Petiet's number), 172 and 9-518 in pencil in the margins recto.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
