PROVENANCE
Reportedly from the village of Yaroum, near Safed in Upper Galilee.
Dr. H.G. Dorman (b. circa 1876), professor of medicine at the University of Beirut.
Dr. Leroy Waterman (1875-1972), archaeologist and professor of Oriental Language at the University of Michigan, acquired from the above and gifted to The Toledo Museum of Art, 1929 (Accession no. 1929.136).
