Lot Essay

Alba Rodríguez combines documentary photography with traditional printmaking techniques to create works that balance precision with abstraction. Drawing inspiration from architecture, cultural landscapes, and the subtle traces of human presence, her work reinterprets observed scenes through the tactile language of printmaking, where texture, light, and form quietly converge. By merging these two distinct mediums, she invites viewers to reconsider familiar spaces from new perspectives. Her artistic practice is underpinned by an academic background spanning Strategic Studies at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord and a Research Master's in Latin American Studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. This interdisciplinary foundation informs a visual language distinguished by intellectual depth, cultural awareness, and a finely attuned visual sensibility. Her work has been exhibited at Kensington and Chelsea College and Morley College Chelsea, London.
