Nichola Jones, a Master's graduate in History from the University of Glasgow, also studied History of Art during her undergraduate years. Though predominantly self-taught, she also attended several drawing courses at the Edinburgh College of Art. More recently, she has rekindled her passion for drawing, finding it a therapeutic counterbalance to the busyness of digital life. Nichola draws inspiration from her love of flowers and plants, creating quick observational paintings and drawings. Her work focuses on capturing the essence of interesting shapes and vibrant colours, rather than striving for photorealistic detail. This approach allows her to convey the beauty and spontaneity of nature in her art.
