Raffaele Coletta is an Italian artist based in London, UK. He has been fascinated by the art of drawing since childhood. As a teenager, while attending a Scientific High School, he began teaching himself anatomy, perspective, and the theories of light, shade, and colour. After earning his Scientific Diploma, he chose to pursue formal studies in Art in Italy. He moved to London, where he obtained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from London South Bank University and an HND in Graphic Design from City and Islington College.
Throughout his artistic journey, Raffaele has created numerous paintings, experimenting with various techniques and approaches. He explores anatomy not only as the structure of the human body but also as a means of expressing emotion. He enjoys working with the rich and versatile medium of oil paint, using brushes, palette knives, rags, fingers, and other tools to bring his ideas to life. His artistic interests centre on the workings of the human body and mind—and everything in between.
