Lot Essay

Lu Qingyuan, born in 1964, studied under Zhao Shao'ang (1905-1998), and has held many solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA, Malaysia and Canada. He also participated in many national and interational exhibitions. He published “How to Paint in Lingnan Style” (vol. I, II and III), clearly describing and analysing the Lingnan style technique, and established Yunshan Studio to teach students, which popularised the Lingnan style of painting.
