Lot Essay

Peng Ximing, born in 1907, also named Zhaokuang. A native of Xunyang, Jiangsu, he studied under Feng Chaoran and graduated from the Shanghai Academy of Art. He hosted a solo exhibiton in Chengdu, Sichuan during the 1940s. He moved to Hong Kong in 1950, and taught in the Fine Art department in Chungkuo College. He is especially fond of landscape painting.
