NOTE:
Sun Yunsheng, also known as Jia Rui, is native to Ninghe, Hebei Province. In his early years, he studied painting under Wang Xuetao, Qin Zhongwen, and Hu Peiheng. In 1936, he became a student of Zhang Daqian, and was mentored by him for 47 years. He resided with Zhang during his time in Brazil. When Zhang passed, Sun took care of Zhang’s life works of sketches.
