Each leaf measures 17.5 x 50 cm. (6 78 x 19 58 in.)
1. Sparrow on Branch inscribed and signed by Wang Zhen, with one seal
Dated autumn, dingchou year (1937)
Dedicated to Heming

2. Calligraphy in Running Script inscribed and signed by Tan Zuyun, with two seals
Dedicated to Heming

NOTE:
Tan Zuyun, known as Dezhong and Gao Tan Jushi, was a native of Hai’an, Jiangsu Province. He specialised in painting and calligraphy. Tan’s painting style was close to that of Wu Changshuo. Tan and his sons, Tam Shao-yun and Tam Siu-yan, were known to be the “Three Tams”.
