The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The set of ashtrays (5 in. diameter): additionally stenciled TEMA E VARIAZIONI and numbered 6, 17, 23, and 28.
Each with rubbing and wear to the lithographically decorated fields, some more visiually apparent than others.
Ashtray 23, with a long curving hairline crack to the base extended up both sides (5 in. approx.). Ashtray 28 with a small nick to the ceramic at the apeture to the base -- structurally sound and most likely from the time of manufacture.
The coasters (4 in. diameter): four with black stenciled mark SOLI E LUNE, numbered 5, 7, 8, and ?; one with black stenciled mark TEMA E VARIAZIONI, numbered 2.
Each dish with light stacking wear to the fields, areas of the lithographically decorated surfaces worn. Small dish TEMA E VARIAZIONI numbered 7 with significant wear to printed surface, glaze drips along the underside, and small internal 1⁄2 in. glaze crack along the underside, not visible when placed.
The paperweight (33⁄4 in. high)
With rubbing to the lithographically decorated surface, including amongst the calendar days and light wear to the gilding along the top edge
The table bell (41⁄2 in. high)
Considerable wear to the gilding around the top border. Nicks and chips to the porcelain apeture where the gilt-metal bell rests. Light rubbing to the lithographically decorated calendar and to where the Zodiac symbols appear.
