In 1955, Zuzek moved from New York City to Southern Florida and immediately took to island life. Sea-Lilly depicts a bustling Palm Beach reef, filled with overlapping corals, seaweeds, and diverse species of fish. This crisp relief of the coral was most likely achieved using rubber cement as a frisket or resist on the lighter areas.

In overall good condition and ready to hang. Please note that these original watercolors became designs used in print-making and may contain holes, notations and/or other interesting marks. Close examination reveals slight fading to extreme edges along with tape and tape residue. Top left corner has been reattached with tape on reverse. Overall with scattered pinholes. With horizontal graphite line at extreme upper edge. With three hole punches along the left edge, each 5⁄16 in. in diameter and one additional punch hole along the upper edge, 1⁄4 in. in diameter, not punched through.
