The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The stretching appears to be original and both the stretcher and canvas are in very good condition. There is a light stretcher mark close to the bottom edge. The stretcher is slightly diagonally deformed. Both the ground and paint layer appear to be in very good condition, stable and well attached. There are no signs of restoration. There are scattered light shiny traces throughout the surface. Small slightly darker spots are visible along the edges. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that this work appears to be in generally very good and original condition.
