In 1972, The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) held a fundraiser at Castelli Gallery in New York. This ticket was from a signed, limited edition of 2,000 to be drawn March 11, 1972 at the Castelli Gallery. Over 500 pieces were donated to fundraise $50,000 for the NYCLU. The ticket stub (lacking in this example) included details of the edition, the lottery drawing and how to claim works if won.
