    Lot Essay



    Charles Hustwick is a London-based painter and printmaker whose work has been shown with the London Group and at Tate Modern. His works also feature in private collections in the UK and abroad.
    Of the present work, Hustwick says, ‘This is the first in a series of studies for a painting in which I was looking for a natural pose that captured the personality, as well as the look, of the sitter.’
