The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- a repaired break with associated loss to glaze to the top of the pillow above the buffalo’s head
- other small glaze flakes, including to where the top joins the figure, and negligible nicks
- two small pieces near the proper right front leg have been reattached to the base
- six small TL test drilled holes to the base
