The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- trimmed to the borderline at left, with narrow margins elsewhere
- a 4 cm. repaired tear into the upper leg the man at right, the upper right corner torn and reattached, a forked tear at the upper sheet edge at right, a further repaired tear at upper right
- a few tiny pale stains, mainly visible verso, occasionally showing through recto
- a few soft, horizontal printer's creases at the centre of the sheet
- hinged at the left sheet edge verso, remains of adhesive and previous paper hinges at the sheet edges verso
