The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- trimmed to or just inside the platemark
- a light scuff at the right of the artists
- scattered foxing mainly showing verso, only occasionally and slightly showing through recto (a few foxmarks below the desk, one the eyebrow and on the artist's right shoulder, only slightly visible under a raking light)
- possibly a tiny circular collector's blindstamp at the extreme lower sheet edge? (5 x 5 mm.)
- faint traces of previous hinging along the left sheet edge and upper corners verso
