The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- only occasionally showing touches of wear in the most densely hatched areas (i.e. the central folds of the curtain at upper right)
- with small margins
- some staining in the margins, a short irregular skilfully repaired tear at the upper right corner (well away from the subject)
- a few pale pinpoint foxmarks verso
- inscribed ‘la medee no 124’ in brown ink in the lower margin
- hinged at the upper sheet edge verso, remains of old paper hinges
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
